President Donald Trump has already done a lot even with all the opposition. That’s why we need to give him a chance of changing things instead of disagreeing and fighting against him for everything he tries to do to get our country back where it needs to be, just he said before elections Make America Great Again!
At the end of the day he’s already done more than Obama, Bush and Clinton did. Undoing what they did will take some time but President Trump will handle it.
For sure the Republican-led House is accomplishing something that conservatives have been requesting for decades. and have been waiting a long time to see common sense come back to Capitol Hill.
A lot of moochers will be very upset, so expect an enormous backfire. That includes Obama himself, who put this into place years ago.
Background: In the old days, when welfare was first introduced, most people only signed up for it as a last resort. It was common to hear even a very needy individual insist they were too “proud” to accept help from the government, and they would take almost any job to avoid going on “relief.”
Inevitably, attitudes changed. Slowly but surely, human beings being who they are, welfare became less embarrassing and turned into a multi-generational “lifestyle.” This in turn led to a rise in recreational drug use, and recipients obviously had a lot of spare time on their hands and lived in less than ideal neighborhoods.
At the end of the day, persevering Americans weren’t simply sponsoring staple goods and different fundamentals for the crestfallen — they were paying for lethargic individuals to infringe upon the law and conceivably even kill themselves.
When these taxpayers called for, at the very least, drug testing of welfare recipients, they were condemned as heartless haters. But name calling or not, it looks like the House may finally be listening:
“The House voted Wednesday to dismantle an Obama administration rule that Republicans say restricts the ability of states to prevent drug users from receiving unemployment benefits.
The rule, which was published in the Federal Register last August, was meant to implement a law that requires people receiving these benefits to be able and ready for work. The law gave states the option of denying drug users these benefits.
But Republicans opposed the rule from the Labor Department because it limited this option, by only allowing states to deny benefits to people in the transportation or pipeline management industries, those who use firearms in their job, or people in jobs that normally require drug testing.”
The House voted decisively to throw out the rule, so now it has to clear the Senate. Because the Republicans are also the majority there, that shouldn’t be a problem.
After that, the President is expected to sign it, the White House already issued statements condemning the old rule’s undermining of State autonomy.
In my opinion, there is no reason welfare recipients shouldn’t be tested, and if it shows drug use, no government money! Works that way in the real world except you don’t get the job!
